Riding Whales

At twelve he faces death for the first time.  His mother is gone, and now he is living with a father he never knew, in a city he's never been.  Hundreds of miles away from all that was once familiar.  His escape was the beach, watching the ocean i the sunset, spending endless hosurs on the dock.  It all seem so simple till one day somehing moved in the water.
